Vazquez-Marquez I & II to re-air Saturday on Showtime

In anticipation of the impending rubber match between WBC super-bantamweight champion Israel Vazquez and Rafael Marquez on March 1 at Home Depot Center, Showtime will re-air the two epic slugfests between the 122-pound Mexican warriors on Saturday night at 11.

The one-hour telecast includes all the drama and action of the first fight, which Marquez won by seventh-round TKO, and moves quickly to the thrilling rematch where Vazquez won by sixth-round TKO.

Their second fight was named 2007’s “Fight of the Year” by The Register, The Ring magazine, Yahoo! Sports and ESPN, and the third round of the second fight was named 2007’s “Round of the Year” by The Ring.
