UFC 82 and UFC 83 cards announced

The UFC announced the lineups for its next two pay-per-view events.
UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva (20-4) takes on PRIDE champion Dan Henderson (22-5) in the main event of UFC 82 on March 1 at Nationwide Arena.
The rest of the main card features some big names. Heavyweight Heath Herring (27-12-1) takes on Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic-conqueror Cheick Kongo (20-3-1). Former UFC middleweight champion Evan Tanner (36-7) makes his return to the octagon against Yushin Okami (22-4). Welterweight Jon Fitch (20-2-1) puts his seven-fight winning streak in the UFC on the line against UFC newcomer Chris Wilson (13-3). And TUF 1 winner Diego Sanchez will try to halt a two-fight losing sttreak when he takes on UFC newcomer David Bielkheden (12-5).
The undercard for UFC 82 features former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski (12-5) against Jake O’Brien (10-0), welterweight Luigi Fioravanti (11-2) vs. Luke Cummo (8-4), middleweight Chris Leben (16-4) vs. Alessio Sakara (16-6-1), welterweight Josh Koscheck (11-1) vs. Dustin Hazlett (10-3) and lightweight Jorge Gurgel (14-3) vs. John Halverson (13-5).
The UFC makes its debut in Canada with UFC 83 on April 19 at Bell Centre, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Headlining the event is hometown hero Georges St. Pierre in a rematch against UFC welterweight champion Matt Serra.
The rest of the main card has some interesting matchups. TUF 4 winner Travis Lutter (12=4) takes on former UFC middleweight champion Rich Franklin (24-3). Veteran Nate “The Rock” Quarry (14-2) goes up against Kalib Starnes (10-3-1). TUF 3 winner Michael Bisping (15-1) moves down to 185 pounds to take on Charles McCarthy (7-2). TUF 6 winner Mac Danzig (18-4-1) moves down to his natural 155-pound weight class to face Mark Bocek (5-10.
The undercard features middleweight Joe Doerksen (39-10) vs. Jason MacDonald (20-9), lightweight Rich Clementi (38-12-1) vs. Sam Stout (14-3-1), welterweight Kuniyoshi Hironaka (11-3) vs. Jonathan Goulet (21-9-1) and middleweight Patrick Cote (12-4) vs. TBA.
