EPISODE 5

I guess I kinda gave a spoiler with the Xbox comment. Oops. My bad. I had no idea, sorry

America.

Riddle told me about Jeremy's snide comment on not defending the arm bar a few days later. I think that would have gotten to any of us. It's one thing to armchair quarterback a fight from home, but being there for the great fight Riddle put up beforehand, and knowing all the pressure on us in the situation, did not not excuse the insensitivity of the comment, joking or not.

Jeremy May writing "BAMF" on the ceiling, and locking the door on the guys in the hot tub were some of the first glances we got at Jeremy's antagonistic for attention side. The lime juice in the dip incident was another example. When they told me he did that, I didn't believe it. It's not editing, Matt Brown is an intense guy, and does not give off the vibe that he's the guy to joke with if you're not his friend.

Jeremy and Matt Brown had limited interaction before this. It was not as if he could have misconstrued their being on a friendly basis. It's true Matt planned to fight Jeremy before that happened, and Matt is the type of fighter that is fueled by dislike of his opponent. This was only more fuel to the fire.

Dante vs Sene was a fight Dante wanted from our initial team talks on who matches up stylistically. Dante felt Sene was a pretty good Jiu-Jitsu guy, but that he was better and the fight would mostly be on the ground.

Cameron, besides his great ground instruction, was a huge asset to out team. He was great at dicing up people's game and always had excellent intel on all of our opponents. Cameron would always seem to have the exact game plan necessary to win. After the show finished filming, one of the camera guys was telling me how it was as if Cameron would hide out in Team Rampage's practice. He said how he would hear Rampage and his guys talking about doing something, and a few hours later hear Cameron telling us that is what they are going to do.

It's always different watching a fight after the fact, but this one in my eyes remains a close one to judge a winner. The fight was Dante looking for the takedown and looking to advance on the ground, and Sene defending well and doing damage where he could. It looked like Dante wanted to fall down when they said it was going to a third round.

Showing a huge heart, Dante sucked it up and went out there and won the round. Judging the fight came to damage versus control. It just depends on what you value more in a fight. Again, I would never want to be a judge.

All we saw on Team Forrest of Rampage's rampage at the end of this fight was a pretty sizable hole in the gym door where he kicked it against the bench behind it. It was no secret that Rampage was not happy with the events thus far.

The walls and doors of the gym and house were made of the thinnest, flimsiest material, that I'm sure just barely passed building codes. Almost like they wanted us to break stuff. Hmm ...

The announcement for Matt Brown to fight Jeremy was obviously not a surprise to anyone on the show. The staredowns always lasted longer than it shows on air, they have us hold it for a while to get all the angles and reaction shots. This was the most tension-filled staredown of the season.

If you see our faces in the background watching, we all kinda have that "uh-oh" smiling look on our faces. It was probably a good thing Forrest said that was enough, I don't think Matt would've stopped staring. I know Rampage and his guys wanted a win for their team, but you didn't get the feeling they minded seeing Jeremy face an angry Matt.

We all had those Chuck Norris-isms for Matt Brown, a lot of them didn't make the air, but Forrest's "evil alien robot" comment at the staredown was one of them. My personal favorite was while we were doing sprints, "Matt Brown doesn't run faster, he slows down time." It's not my favorite because I said it, but because it was really funny. I will laugh at my own jokes. A lot.

    Amir,

You are a kooni. When you fight, I will yell at the screen the following phrases, "Bachhe kooni, koon midi, ya na?" Ask Mo what that means.

    Khodahafez.

Solid blog Amir. You're Matt Brown comment is indeed quite humorous. Might I add, "If Matt Brown stared down Medusa, the earth would turn to stone."

I thought the decision was BS. Dante Rivera might be the most boring fighter I've ever seen in my life. He needs to get knocked out real bad.

Another great blog. This kid Jeremy must have had some childhood issues. I predict a slow and painful loss for him. Certainly if the stare down is any indication, Matt is going to teach him some hard life lessons.

Your comments are hilarious on the show.

"Matt Brown is going to win.... by Murder"

    Your old training bud,
    JK

P.S Somehow lets try to get up in RVA.

Matt Browns too angry and it might cost him the fight. Jeremy is a douche but you know what? he makes the show more interesting like you do with your jokes and humor. Shit like that is good for the ratings. Anyways cant wait to see you fight bro.. good luck

I just saw Matt Brown SMASH the loudmouth and congratulations to your team mate. However, your squad should have nothing to do with Matt Riddle. Regardless of his "feelings" I could never associate with a traitorous so-called team member. His advising Matt to kick May in the knee was a bitchy traitors' move. He should have saved that advice for the ass kicking he took. He needs another beat down. Again though...hats off to your boy Matt.
