When: Saturday, 4 p.m.

Where: The Home Depot Center

TV: HBO, 7 p.m.

Outlook: De La Hoya (38-5, 30 KOs), who has won world titles in six weight classes, takes on Forbes (33-5, 9 KOs), a former IBF 130-pound champion and “The Contender” finalist, in a 12-round 152-pound fight. It’s De La Hoya’s first fight in L.A. since he lost a split decision in his first fight against Sugar Shane Mosley in 2000.

Prediction: De La Hoya has a great chin and he’s bigger and stronger than Forbes. Forbes is an excellent technician and always give it his all, but De La Hoya will be too much for him in the end.

Record in 2008 picks: 12-6
