FEDOR EMELIANENKO VS. TIM SYLVIA

When: Saturday, 4 p.m.

Where: Honda Center

TV: Fox Sports Net, 5-6 p.m., pay-per-view, 6-9 p.m.

Outlook: Emelianenko (27-1), the former PRIDE heavyweight champion, takes on Sylvia (26-5), a former two-time UFC champion, for the vacant WAMMA heavyweight championship in the main event of “Affliction Banned.”

Prediction: Sylvia, a 6-8, 265-pounder, has the height, reach, size and strength advantages over Emelianenko, 6-0, 220-pounder. Sylvia should do well on his feet by using his jab and straight right. But once Emelianenko gets it to the ground he can negate Sylvia’s size advantages. Emelianenko wins this one by armbar.
