WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto makes his first title defense against former IBF super-featherweight champion Stevie Forbes on the Sugar Shane Mosley-Ricardo Mayorga undercard on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. on HBO at The Home Depot Center in Carson.

I caught up with Berto after Wednesday's news conference in L.A. and he talked about fighting Forbes, the state of the welterweight division and why he chose boxing over MMA.
