LONG BEACH - Boxing promoter/former EliteXC Live Events president Gary Shaw was at the side of his fighter, Vic Darchinyan, for his workout at Charles Williams Combination Fitness Gym in Long Beach.

Shaw is co-promoting Darchinyan's super-flyweight unification fight against Cristian Mijares on Saturday at The Home Depot Center on Showtime.

Shaw took some time out to give his thoughts about the demise of ProElite/EliteXC and the Darchinyan-Mijares showdown.
